A Wonderful Life

We just got back from Buffalo yesterday afternoon. It was a whirlwind yet wonderful trip and we saw almost my entire side of the family. We made the trip last minute to celebrate the life of this lady…

My Aunt Ruth died peacefully in her sleep last weekend. She was 100.5 years old and lived a full, beautiful, wonderful life. She has been the matriarch of our family for many years and joined her four sisters and brother who we joked had the most amazing card game in Heaven as they have been waiting for her.

God called her home in her sleep with zero pain and no suffering. She spent the evening playing cards with her daughters, went to bed and passed gently into the Promised Land.

I have learned so many life lessons from this very special woman; take time to talk to people and always look them in the eye, serve others and don’t ask for anything in return, a good laugh, a can of Coors Light, and a handful of M&M’s can make any situation a little easier to handle.

I love you, Auntie. Say a big “hello” to my dad for me. I look forward to seeing you again…but not for a long time.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas from my family to yours!

May the joy of Jesus’ birth give you an everlasting glow…

May you never lose the excited presence of childhood.

May God grant you peace and hope in the new year.
